[3d animation]Curieusement Oddly

A Chinese ghost story, kind of weird and scary story. The most attractive point is the combine of 3d animation and 2d like render. Also the environment is quite nice,i like the gloomy and misty feelings, they use a lot of chinese elements, such as the curve shape of the wave, the cloud pattern. I want to make a 3d animation like this as my major project, i may get some reference from the style.

a quite nice 3d animation, i like the style and may be i will use some reference in my next project.



the style is based on a kind of chinese painting, which is detailed and flaten.

The light setting is also good, the environment appears kind of dark and blured, so people can focus on the character.

find an interesting web. It lets you create your own music. Just click on the grid, each on stands for a tone. Different pattern can cause different sound. I think it is a very good example for multimedia interaction between visual and hearing.

Hawking's prediction

In this video, Hawking predicts that people have to move to other planets. it sounds reasoned and well proved.

'The planet is heating up, Earth's population is expanding at an exponential rate, and the the natural resources vital to our survival are running out faster than we can replace them with sustainable alternatives. Even if the human race manages not to push itself to the brink of nuclear extinction, it is still a foregone conclusion that our aging sun will expand and swallow the Earth in roughly 7.6 billion years.’

Finally, 'Hawking says it will take man to make the planet uninhabitable and the billion years it will take for the sun to turn our planet into an arid wasteland, there is always the chance that a nearby supernova, an asteroid, or a quick and painless black hole could do us in.'

[3D animation]THE EXTERNAL WORLD

i quite like the style, it is simple, but effective. in this animation, there are multiple scenes, it seems not a unite but accualy all ralated to the theme, which i think reflect the society.

colour looks pale in most scenes, which also suites the theme, like black humor, I think it is trying to satirize the world.

In this scene, the contrast between the fresh coloured character and the ridiculous scenario is also ironic.
